The book says,
If a new college graduate has entered the workforce after being hired by your company, offer to mentor him or her. If you are a supervisor or senior-level manager, mentoring a recent college graduate can benefit you both.
You can gain an understanding about the business worldview held by him or her and their peers and also learns what motivates them.
On the flip side, you can help him or her learn about your industry, trade regulations, business relationship, and perhaps help him or her rise through the ranks more quickly.
It is a win-win for everyone.
I don't have a career, I am just an employee at a very large logistics and distribution center of a successful company. We each play an important role in the mentoring of new employees.
Just For Today: I am helpful to those just starting.
