Today's Community Memorial and Vigil Meet Up

We had a great talk at the proposed site of the rehab and treatment center here in Martinsburg today. We can still picture the rehab on the site that will help the local addicts come for help and to recover.

Thank you to Mr. James Boyd and David Manthos who is running for WV Senate for coming. We missed Mrs. Laura Boyd today! I love your spirit Laura. It is contagious!

We still have a ways to go before this treatment center is a reality. We know that. But it is a great
feeling to just talk about it. We also have some work to do.

We know we still have work on the petition. I am trying too hard not to celebrate. We have 545 signing and supporting it but we know we still have more work to do before May 12th. Thank you to those signing and supporting and a great big thank you to everyone who continues to share this petition.

I consider going to the ballot box and voting as Silent Protest. We discussed how important it is to vote and how important it is to hear from the candidates running for office what their view and opinion is on the Heroin Epidemic here in Martinsburg, WV and where they stand. Thank you to those candidates who are sharing.

To those who couldn't make it today but were there in spirit, thank you!

We will not be meeting at the site next Sunday due to the Stomp Out Addiction Event.

• May 6, 2016 Is the Narcan Class at Callahan Counseling located at  1020 Winchester Ave in Martinsburg, WV. This class starts at 6 PM You can sign up by going to their Facebook page @ Narcan Saves Lives for more information
• The Health Dept. is also holding  Narcan Classes here in Martinsburg. Call 304-267-7130  extension #2. These classes start at 3 PM. Call to sign up. 
• May 8, 2016 is the Stomp Out Addiction at War Memorial Park on Tennessee Ave. here in Martinsburg. This event is from 2 PM to 5 PM. Visit their event page @ Stomp Out Addiction for more information on this event!
• May 10, 2016 Don't forget to go vote!
• May 12, 2016 Don't forget, the Martinsburg City Council Meeting  at 245 N. Queen St. in Martinsburg. This looks like the day that we will be turning in the petition to the City of Martinsburg
• May 21, 2016 Mr Joe Gray has invited me to talk with him on his radio show, 7 Generations WV at Shepherd University. The link to listen to Laura Griffith and Mendy Hutton's interview with Joe Gray is at the bottom of this blog.
• Every Sunday Evening @ 6PM don't forget the NarAnon Group meets at Trinity UM Church on Martin St. in Martinsburg
